How can you forget Forget Me Not with their indulgent choco lava!?
It was bite after bite of chocolate bliss. The serving is good for 1. I needed to split it though with my husband and our friend, Marge since it was too chocolatey plus the thought, “a moment on your lips, forever on your hips” yikes. 🙂
Aside from the Choco Lava, what I liked about this Cafe is that it looked like a place where you can have afternoon tea with your girlfriends. (naks.) I presume the target market here is for ladies since it looked like a cupcake place.
Marge had Croquettes.
It was mashed potato balls with bacon, cheese, and crushed tomatoes. Served Solo (Php 85) and to Share (Php 155). The photo above is their Solo serving.
Jason got their Salisbury Steak (Php 195) which was beef patty served with gravy, rice and mixed veggies. I had a bite of his and it was tasty and good however not sure if it’s that satisfying worth the Php 195.
I had their BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich (Php 155) which is roast pork with bbq sauce, bell pepper, onions, side salad and it says potato chips but I got fries instead. No problem 🙂 This was quite filling but not too heavy for dinner so I was pretty much content with what I got.
The staff was attentive and I am happy with their service.
When it comes to the overall cafe, it can actually seat a lot as they had a separate room that can be an events place. I was quite disappointed though with their restroom as it didn’t fit my initial impression of the place. It was hidden at the back that we had to go out the dining hall to go to their lone restroom. It was not dirty but it wasn’t too clean either, it disconnected from the look of the cafe.
Nonetheless, I was surprised to discover this nice cafe just around Marikina thru Marge’s recommendation. Lilac Street by the way is like the UP Maginhawa of Marikina.
Whenever Jason and I go to Lilac Street I am always tempted to go to this place (it’s becoming my default Lilac hangout) until Jason reminds me that there are still other restaurants to try.
With their comfy seats and couches and their oh so sweet pastries and cakes, I’d say I won’t forget wanting to hang out here again. 🙂
