Pink Chiffon is a place that stars CUPCAKES! Just by its name you know you’re in for fluffy sweets. But good thing they also serve few choice meals as when you have a guy around they would at least feel welcome in this girly corner along Lilac Street.
Lilac Street is a food strip in Marikina and we’re glad we don’t have to go too far to get our food trip fix.
Jason got Roast Beef in Mushroom gravy served with rice and buttered veggies (Php 150). The Roast Beef was okay, it was cooked right, but nothing extraordinary. Maybe a 6 out of 10.
For us girls since we were still quite full after InfiniTEA drinks and nachos, we got the Vegetable Salad with Pink Chiffon special dressing (Php 140). Their dressing tasted a lot like the Japanese roasted sesame dressing. We were able to split this into 3.
How can we go here without having dessert? We got their Apple Pie with butterscotch sauce (Php 65) despite the warnings of contaminated apple that time. Well.. 😀 Without the sauce, it was already sweet! We found it a bit too much even for sweet toothed people like us. I actually forgot about the text blast warning of a batch of contaminated apples distributed that time, but when Jason reminded me, I suddenly lost my appetite. O_o boo.. but I could have had devoured this. Maybe next time.
Overall this girly place is a nice place to hang out if you’re in the area and I’d come back for cupcakes someday. 🙂
